Education Week at The Henry Lawson High School
Education Week is a time for our school community to celebrate the achievements and efforts of our students, teachers, and staff. At The Henry Lawson High School, we use this opportunity to showcase student talents through activities like open classrooms, exhibitions, and performances.
This week also honours the dedication of our educators and highlights the important role education plays in shaping future success. We invite families and community members to join us in celebrating learning and the positive impact it has on everyone at our school.
NAIDOC Week at The Henry Lawson High School
NAIDOC Week is a time to celebrate and recognise the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. At The Henry Lawson High School, we mark this important week with activities such as cultural workshops, storytelling, art projects, and cooking experiences.
Through these celebrations, we promote respect, understanding, and a deeper appreciation of Australia’s rich cultural diversity. We invite all students, staff, and families to join us in honouring NAIDOC Week and supporting reconciliation within our school community.
ANZAC Day at The Henry Lawson High School
ANZAC Day is a time to honour the courage and sacrifice of Australia’s service men and women. At The Henry Lawson High School, we respectfully commemorate this day with a memorial assembly featuring readings, performances, and moments of silence.
Through these activities, students learn about the significance of ANZAC Day and the values of service and sacrifice. Our school is proud to uphold this important tradition and remember the contributions of all veterans.
