Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
The Henry Lawson High School, located on the traditional land of the Wiradjuri people. Named after renowned Australian poet Henry Lawson, the school has a rich heritage dating back to the 1960's and currently enrols around 190 students. It offers a diverse curriculum that integrates contemporary technology and promotes critical thinking, independent learning, and community involvement. Guided by the vision "Challenge, Encourage, Achieve," the school fosters a positive, respectful environment celebrating achievements in academics, sport, and community through its house system, named after local sporting legends. Students benefit from extensive opportunities including leadership, music, public speaking, STEM activities, career programs, and community volunteering, all supported by strong partnerships with parents and the community. The school is dedicated to nurturing confident, responsible citizens prepared for the future.
